Well, I am late with the review this week. Working late evenings for the next month.
I thought this week went rather well. I'm getting on track and staying on for most days. I'm happy with that.
This week's exercise was decent. I went outside for my first outdoor run! Finally! It was very interesting and a lot harder than running on the treadmill. I think I may try to get outside for runs at least once a week at this point. It is very dirty in my city right now from the sand used on the winter roads and puddles of water all over. It's not fun to dodge all those things in my pretty purple trainers.
A am also happy to report that I used my elliptical this week when I didn't feel like getting to the gym. I headed to the gym only once this week, but it was an awesome workout. I spend an hour and 20 minutes there doing the treadmill, arc trainer, strength, rowing, and some elliptical work.
I improved my mile time while at the gym. I pushed myself and obtained an 11:52 mile. Eight seconds faster than last week. If I can improve my fitness level each week, I will be happy.
As for food, I did good. I tracked everyday and went over my calories only a bit on one day out of 7. The only reason I went over was because I went out to a bar and had 3 light beers which are just over 100 calories each.
I didn't get a chance to make a low cal meal from the cookbooks I checked out this week. Hopefully this coming week.
The W.I. this week was not what I was hoping for, but at least it was a loss.
My goal for April is to be under 200 and stay there. I would like to lose at least a pound a week because that seems to be my limit.
Goals for this week:
1) Keep tracking calories- do not consume all the calories burned in exercise
2) Try a new low cal recipe
3) Workout everyday for at least 30 minutes- gym, outside, video, elliptical, anything active for 30 minutes
Great goals for the week! You can do it, keep your head up!! Congrats on the loss, even a little is still a LOSS!! :)
